Project Overview
Welcome to the Enterprise Homelab documentation. This environment started as a CCNA practice lab and is evolving into a real network lab for NetDevOps experiments and Linux systems administration.
Roadmap
Section titled “Roadmap”The project is organized into two phases:
- Phase 1 — CCNA Lab & Emulation (Completed) — the practice lab used to earn the CCNA: HP t740 compute node, Catalyst 3560-CX, 2960 access, Proxmox VE, and EVE-NG emulation.
- Phase 2 — Infrastructure Expansion (Roadmap) — OPNsense router on the HP t740 (DPI, AdGuard, firewall, GL.iNet MT3000 as AP), and everything managed as code with Ansible.
Phase 1 — CCNA Lab & Emulation
Section titled “Phase 1 — CCNA Lab & Emulation” 1 Architecture Lab hardware and the practice topology used for CCNA labs.
2 Hypervisor Proxmox installation, storage, and resource allocation.
3 Emulation EVE-NG deployment and Cisco IOU/QEMU images.
4 Labs & Topologies Lab diagrams used for OSPF, VLAN, and switching practice.
5 Troubleshooting Root cause analyses and resolutions.
Phase 2 — Infrastructure Expansion
Section titled “Phase 2 — Infrastructure Expansion” 1 Router OPNsense on HP t740 — DPI, AdGuard, firewall; GL.iNet MT3000 as AP.
2 IaC & Automation Manage the homelab as code with Ansible — planned.
